Mass Rock Sites of:
The Four Altars Mass Rock, County Roscommon.
SITUATED ON PRIVATE LAND
Situated north of the town of Ballaghaderreen on the Sligo Road, this Mass Rock always gave shelter to the priest during mass in Penal times thanks to its shape and form.
Due to boundary changes in 1898 this Mass Rock is now located in County Roscommon but during the Penal era it would have been located in County Mayo.
